Desotec activated carbon is a high-quality product that meets the most stringent quality guidelines. Every step in the activated carbon production process, from raw material to finished product, takes place under the watchful eye of the internal quality control. And we systematically further improve the quality of our products through continuous research.

Monitoring in internal and external lab

Desotec features a specialised lab with a Quantachrome Instruments NOVA 2000 analyser. The NOVA 2000 measures the surface area of the activated carbon as well as the size of the pores. The lab performs checks on the EN standards and guidelines on a daily basis. The results of these checks are regularly confirmed by an external certified lab.

Desotec closely follows the EN12903 guideline for the use of powdered activated carbon and the EN12915 guideline for the use of granular activated carbon for the treatment of water for human consumption.
