QESH Manager needed in Red Bluff, CA
Desotec's mission is to protect our planet. We provide end-to-end purification solutions for pollution in air, water and other gases and liquids. We do this by supplying mobile activated carbon filters to our B2B customers. We recycle our own saturated filters by taking back the spent activated carbon for reactivation, making our filter solutions circular.
What will you do as the QESH Manager?
Position Summary
In this role you will mentor and support the business with their execution of Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Health (QESH) compliance, driving development, implementation, and continuous improvement. The QESH Manager will oversee Desotec’s QESH programs to achieve and maintain compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations as well as Corporate policies and procedures.
Core Responsibilities and Tasks
Develop and implement quality, environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
Is accountable for leading and driving QESH execution
Maintain compliance with site-specific environmental permits, plans, and reporting obligations.
Conducts workplace inspections and audits. Collaborates with team members to identify, prioritize, perform, and track corrective actions
Conducts risk assessments and implement strategies to prevent accidents and injuries
Ensure that all incidents and near misses are investigated to identify root cause and that proper corrective actions are implemented
Promote a proactive approach to safety throughout the organization focusing on leadership and employee engagement
Trains employees on quality, environmental, health and safety procedures
Who are you as the QESH Manager?
·Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related Engineering or Science field
*Preferred Associate or Certified Safety Professional or related
Minimum of four years of Environmental, Health and Safety or related experience
Experience in an industrial manufacturing / warehousing environment
Ability to influence at all levels of an organization
Ability to establish, maintain and foster a positive and harmonious working relationship with stakeholders within the business
Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively, including preparation and development of clear, concise and accurate reports.
Strong organizational and time management skills, able to work independently, handle multiple projects simultaneously
Comfortable working in virtual environments with remote teams and across a broad set of stakeholders
Mature judgement and decision-making ability
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, online software platforms, with the ability to use spreadsheets and data analysis application
