Process Operator A

DESOTEC is now hiring a Process Operator for our Parker, Arizona warehouse facility

DESOTEC is a leading provider of mobile filtration solutions. Our broad range of solutions enable customers to comply with environmental regulations and sustainability requirements through a unique and innovative closed-loop, “Filtration-as-a-Service” rental solution.

Job functions:

·         Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality

·         Check on equipment throughout shift to ensure equipment is working properly

·         Label and sort spent carbon to remain in compliance

·         Contributes to division results and performance

·         Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations

·         Follow all safety procedures (loto, confined space etc)

·         Complete monthly safety training and safety observations

·         Verify documents match received goods

·         Operate equipment specific to area such as valving, tankers

·         Operates forklift to move materials through plant, load/unload trucks; and dump spent carbon 

Skill Requirements:

·         High School diploma or GED is required

·         Ability to communicate clearly to team members

·         Be able to follow and read instructions

·         Have basic math and organizational skills

·         Be able to obtain forklift certification

·         Be able to complete 40 hour hazardous waste operations training

Beneficial Qualities:

·         Some manufacturing/plant experience

·         Forklift driving

·         Knowledge of computers

Physical Requirements:

·         Ability to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis

·         Ability to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis

·         Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds

·         Ability to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis

·         Ability to communicate verbally and in writing

·         Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed. Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 30 degrees

·         May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required

·         May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt 

·         Work surfaces may include concrete

·         Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone
