Through a rental model our filters are distributed to production companies all over Europe. Once the filter is saturated it is replaced and the spent carbon sent for reactivation. That is how we unburden our customers of the administrative, moral, logistical and ecological consequences of their purification needs. As an All-round Buyer at DESOTEC you will be joining the Indirect Spend team. You are not afraid of paperwork and you consider yourself a great multitasker able to deal with several tasks simultaneously. You are a pivotal link between the various stakeholders, the ERP system and many suppliers. Your work will cover a broad range of areas, such as fleet, chemicals, PPEs, IT & Telecom, and technical materials.

As an All-round Buyer at Desotec, you get the responsibility to... 

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and resolve any issues that may arise. 

  • Review purchase requisitions, create purchase orders, and monitor the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. 

  • Monitor market trends and developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiencies. 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (production/logistics/QESH/lab… ) to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services. 

  • Prepare and maintain procurement reports and provide regular updates to our management on procurement activities and performance. 

  • Participate in cross-functional projects to identify and implement process improvements. 


Who are you as an All-round Buyer at DESOTEC? 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management in a manufacturing environment. 

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with ERP systems such as Navision and Microsoft Dynamics 365.  

  • Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems is a plus. 

  • Fluent in English and Dutch. Knowledge of other languages is considered a plus.
