DESOTEC US in Red Bluff California is looking for someone to join our Purchasing Team in the position of Materials Support Specialist!

The Materials Support Specialist would report to the Purchasing Manager and assist with Inventory counts, tracking shipping and purchasing, plus various other tasks assigned daily.

As our Materials Support Specialist your main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Complete cycle counts in a timely manner within the quarter.

• Complete cycle counts quarterly and report within two weeks of quarter close.

• Submit accurate shipping, receiving, warehousing, and material movement transactions in the warehouse and within NAV to maintain an accurate inventory.

• Ensure all materials available (that are in inventory) are kitted for manufacturing.

• Prepare inbound ASME documentation and obtain and maintain all pertinent tracking documentation for ASME code requirements (MTRs, COCs etc.).

• Process and approve all freight through a 3rd Party system, as well as track all shipping transactions (shipments for projects will be documented via packing lists and pictures).

• Maintain records within the material master model of the ERP system.

• Work with the purchasing department to accurately receive and return materials in a timely manner.

• Maintains reporting through NAV for project tracking and lean reports. This involves extracting various transactions from the ERP system, downloading the data into excel, and creating workable spreadsheets to monitor materials as they move through inventory locations to the project.

• Evaluate materials after release of demand. Track ordered materials as compared to the Bill of Materials from Engineering.   

• Obtain shipping documents and perform the associated transactions within the ERP system.

• Additional activities as needed

Who are you as a Materials Support Specialist?

Computer experience is required. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, emails, Internet searches, etc.

Experience with NAV system preferred, but not required

Experience in a warehouse / production facility environment

Forklift experience preferred but not required
