POSITION SUMMARY 

Entry level role that is working in a plant/factory.  Performs a series of operations or tasks under close supervision, utilizing documented work processes.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS 

Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality

*Check on equipment throughout shift to ensure equipment is working properly

*Reads and clearly follows processes that are required

* Follow all safety procedures. (loto, confined space etc)

* Complete monthly safety training and safety observations

*required to work 12 hours shifts - 2/2/3 schedule with night shift rotation

*Ability to read and understand process schematics (preferred)

 Operate equipment specific to area such as:

CARBON:

*Bag products, samples,  test and properly label each bag

*Perform hourly checks on wastewater treatment plant.

*Monitor plant operation and processes

*Operates a forklift to stack, weigh, and sort reactivated carbon.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

1.    FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required: High School Diploma or GED

2.    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required: 

*Must complete site specific safety training

*Ability to communicate clearly to team members

*Be able to follow and read instructions *Have basic math skills

ability to follow OSHA requirements

*Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office

Site specific requirements:

CARBON: Must be able to complete 40 hour hazardous waste operations training.

Preferred:

*Some manufacturing/plant experience

*Forklift experience (certification preferred)

*Knowledge of computers

3.    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 Must be able to sit and stand, for long periods of time

  Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 

Must be able to climb and descend stairs. 

  Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull as needed

  Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. 

Must be able to work indoors and outdoors as needed. (Exposure to extreme heat and adverse weather conditions) 

  Must be able to wear PPE required- (Hardhat, Safety Glasses, respirator, ear protection, gloves, safety boots)

 Ability to work with varying amounts of dust and dirt. 

 Must be physically able to pass a physical evaluation and drug test
