DESOTEC US is looking for a Talented Operational Buyer to join our Global Team! This person can be located either in Darlington PA or in Red Bluff California!

What are we looking for in an Operational Buyer?

• Execution of the ‘purchase to pay’- process for all spend streams: place purchase orders, receive commodities, process and deal with invoices, and advise in accordance with agreed purchasing processes.

• Ensuring alignment, support and follow-up of logistic and operational activities in line with demand and in accordance with company targets.

• Develop and maintain relationships with (alternative) vendors, contractors and internal stakeholders, and ensure performance within the guidelines of supplier management.

• Actively collaborate with the commercial purchasing and operational department by being the daily operational contact between purchasing and several manufacturing sites.

• Provide and share data analysis and forecasts to internal stakeholders on purchased goods, within standards of information management.

• Initiate and lead implementation of strategic optimization programs by managing data related to the supply of input products within standards of procurement strategy and in consultation with the business.

• Define, plan, manage and co-ordinate assigned strategic cost savings and optimization projects.

• Ensure, follow-up and control the compliance of processes or contracts with legal and organizational policies regarding environment, health and security standards.

• Serve as a point of contact for operational audits.

Who are you as an Operational Buyer?

Ideally you will have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent by experience

• 3-5 years of experience as a buyer in a manufacturing environment

• Affinity with IT & business ERP systems 

• Knowledge on 3-4 ERP platforms (Netsuite, SAP, Dynamics, Navision, etc)

• Full scope of understanding of the platform

• Must be able to work with others and help to train
