To realize its vision of the 'factory of the future' in Northern France, DESOTEC is currently hiring a skilled Project Management Officer (PMO). As our PMO you will play a crucial role in overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of transformational projects within our organization, starting with our project in France. The PMO is positioned to not only manage projects effectively but also drive continuous improvement and innovation through process optimization and solution analysis. Your role will be crucial to support our future growth strategy.
Your responsabilities as our Project Management Officer (PMO) include:
Establish Project Management Framework: Develop and implement standardized project management methodologies, processes, and best practices to streamline project execution and ensure consistency across all projects.
Lead Process Improvement & Solution Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for new processes or system solutions, and research and evaluate potential solutions, tools, or technologies to address identified process gaps or inefficiencies.
Project Planning and Monitoring: Work closely with the different departments to create detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor project progress against established plans, identify potential risks or issues, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
Resource & Budget Management: Establish Budget together with different stakeholders and coordinate resource allocation for projects, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal utilization and alignment with project requirements and timelines.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, and define key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of process improvements and solution implementations. Generate regular progress reports and performance metrics for stakeholders and senior management to track project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify project risks and issues, assess their potential impact on project objectives, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and maximize project success.
Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, and develop change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new processes or solutions within the organisation. Serve as a primary point of contact for project-related inquiries and escalations.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO to enhance project management practices, increase efficiency, and deliver greater value to the organization. Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and process optimization to streamline project workflows.
Who are you as our Project Management Officer (PMO)?
• Possession of a Master's degree.
• Accumulation of ideally +/- 10 years of experience in project management, project portfolio management, PMO roles,...
• Fluency in Dutch, French, and English, enabling seamless communication across diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated proficiency in project management related to building new factories: from initial conceptualization through to successful commissioning.
• Display of exemplary organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, coupled with the ability to effectively juggle multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks with precision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, focused on identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at forging meaningful relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in utilizing various project management tools and software platforms such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Trello.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the capacity to motivate teams, drive results, and cultivate a collaborative work environment.
