Purification of water not intended for human consumption
The purification of water that is not intended for human consumption includes following water types:
- OXYCON® mobile waste water treatment Groundwater remediation;
- Industrial wastewater;
- Landfill leachate;
- Municipal wastewater;
- Process water (feed water, condensate, ultra-pure water, etc.);
- Aquarium and pond water;
- Swimming pool water.
Contaminants that are removed include:
- Dissolved organic carbon and micropollutants;
- Heavy metals;
- Chemical oxygen demand (COD);
- Poly aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH);
- Agrochemicals and pesticides;
- Solvents;
- Chlorinated hydrocarbons
Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC)
Tertiary wastewater treatment: removal of micropollutants and COD, odours and colours. Activated carbon added in powder form is used as flocculant in aerobic and anaerobic biological water treatment systems (PACT process) or as an additive to physio-chemical water treatment processes.
DESOTEC’s mobile solutions
DESOTEC developed a range of mobile adsorbers that are used in some of these applications. Depending on the application, they are supplied with activated carbon and/or other media, including the treatment of the used media.
