This masterclass was created to provide an in-depth, practical and technical exploration of the key stages in the biomethane value chain, with particular attention to pre-upgrading and post-upgrading processes, which are crucial yet sometimes overlooked. The event offers a unique opportunity for professionals to exchange experiences, best practices and innovative approaches, with the aim of improving gas quality, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. The stages before and after upgrading will be examined in detail, from biogas pre-treatment and purification to monitoring and grid injection management, highlighting technical and operational solutions for an increasingly reliable and sustainable value chain.

System Gas is a company founded in 1995 by two partners with ten years of experience in fiscal gas metering for Snam transmission networks, SPI gas wells and petrochemical industrial sites. Since then, it has developed the expertise to design and build plants with RE.MI PDC biomethane stations and RE.MI PDR natural gas stations for connections to national transmission networks and local distribution networks.

Centro Ricerche Produzioni Animali was founded in 1972 and has since made its expertise in agri-food production and environmental matters available to both the public and private sectors. Pollution
Pollution Analytical Equipment specialises in the development of instruments for the on-site chemical analysis of volatile compounds. Its products are used for environmental monitoring, process control and quality control. One of its key innovations is a system for monitoring volatile organic compounds (VOCs) during the biogas upgrading process. This helps protect the plant, optimise the quality of the biomethane produced and ensure the odourisation requirements necessary for grid injection.

Aciam S.p.A., based in Avezzano, operates across the integrated waste management cycle for an area serving approximately 100,000 inhabitants. Its activities include the collection, transport, treatment and recovery of municipal waste, with a particular focus on the organic fraction. Its main activity is the management of its anaerobic digestion and composting plant in La Stanga, in the municipality of Aielli. The facility processes organic materials from separate waste collection, producing compost compliant with Legislative Decree 75/2010 and biomethane from renewable sources.
