Where can I find mobile activated carbon filters in Flanders and the Netherlands?

Belgium is the birthplace of DESOTEC. Its headquarters, distribution and filters production & maintenance centers, its four reactivation ovens and its production facility dedicated to the biogas sector are located in Roeselare - Flanders, Belgium.

From its main facility, DESOTEC can rapidly supply and exchange a wide range of air/ gas and water/ liquid filters and carbon types to industrial customers across the region.

DESOTEC’s Dutch-speaking engineering team would be happy to discuss your company’s purification requirements with you.

What typical purification project does DESOTEC have in Flanders and the Netherlands?

COD and PFAS removal from wastewater at a chemical plant, Flanders

The ‘forever chemicals’ PFAS are harmful even in tiny concentrations, and subject to stringent regulations. This global chemical company installed two MOBICON filters in series at a Flanders site. Process wastewater is passed through the first filter to remove the COD, then a second MOBICON removes the PFAS. All molecules adsorbed onto the carbon are completely destroyed in DESOTEC’s facilities, protecting human health and the environment from PFAS.

Removing triazole from wastewater in the food industry, Flanders

There is a growing problem in Flanders of 1,2,4-triazole contaminating surface water and soil, caused by usage of triazole-based pesticides and fungicides. It is considered harmful to human health, and European safety limits are very low. This food company is using a DESOTEC MOBICON 1000 filter to remove triazole from its wastewater, thus preventing the compound from entering drinking water supplies.

Treating VOCs and H₂S in biogas, Netherlands

VOC emissions from biogas plants are often odorous, while H₂S is not only odorous but also corrosive to downstream machinery. DESOTEC has installed two AIRCON HC-XL filters in series at this recently expanded biogas production and landfill site. The first filter is filled with carbon suitable for removing the H₂S, while the second contains carbon for adsorbing VOCs. The treated gas is now compliant with local odour control regulations and machinery specifications.

Removing VOCs and odours from chemical tank storage venting, Flanders

This company operates storage tanks that hold large volumes of chemicals and petrochemicals. Air emissions contain high levels of odorous VOCs including benzene, which must be treated on occupational health grounds. DESOTEC supplies three AIRCON 2000 filters to treat emissions at this site, protecting air quality. DESOTEC is proud of its long-term partnership with this client.
