What typical purification projects does DESOTEC have in Italy?
Odour removal at a biogas plant in Lombardy
A temporary filtration solution was needed to treat odours from anaerobic digestion during maintenance of a biofilter and scrubbers. DESOTEC installed two AIRCON V filters to treat an airflow of 50 000 m³/h from hall ventilation. The customer was happy with the effectiveness and efficiency of the solution, and has forged a long-lasting partnership with DESOTEC involving several other projects.
VOC removal from a pharma plant in Lombardy
To meet new emission limits, this company has to reduce VOCs (including DCM) in the vented air stream from 50 to 20 ppm. Two DESOTEC AIRCON V filters are enabling the customer to achieve compliance. DESOTEC’s mobile filtration model involves filling and emptying filters at its own facilities, keeping customers’ sites pristine and dust-free – essential in the pharma sector.
Removing phenols from wastewater at a Sicilian chemical facility
This major plant produces process wastewater containing phenols. DESOTEC supplies two MOBICON filters containing eight tonnes of activated carbon to treat a continuous flow of 30 m³/h. This efficient solution purifies the wastewater enough to meet acceptance criteria at a wastewater treatment plant.
Treating hydrocarbon VOCs from specialty chemicals in Veneto
A new polystyrene recycling plant generates air emissions containing pentene. DESOTEC AIRCON V filters treat the discontinuous flow of 11 000 m³/h, enabling the customer to meet air quality regulations at all times.
