DESOTEC is looking for an Experienced QESH Manager to join our Pennsylvania Staff in Darlington, PA!

In this role you will mentor and support the business with their execution of Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Health (QESH) compliance, driving development, implementation, and continuous improvement. The QESH Manager will oversee DESOTEC’s QESH programs for the Darlington, Pennsylvania sites to achieve and maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies and procedures. This role reports to the Plant Manager located at the Darlington, Pennsylvania site.

 

As a QESH Manager you will have the following tasks/responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Develop and implement quality, environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Develop, review, and submit reports related to environmental permits, plans, and reporting obligations. Maintain compliance with site-specific environmental permits, plans, and reporting obligations.

  • Collaborate with external compliance company to develop, review, and submit all information for permit renewals and modifications for Air Permits, RCRA Permits, and NPDES.

  • Facilitates environmental audits with the EPA and PADEP. Conducts workplace environmental, health, safety, and quality inspections and audits. Collaborates with team members to identify, prioritize, perform, and track corrective actions as needed.

  • Conducts risk assessments and implement strategies to prevent accidents and injuries.

  • Ensure that all incidents and near misses are investigated to identify root causes and that proper corrective actions are implemented.

  • Promotes a proactive approach to safety throughout the organization focusing on leadership and employee engagement.

·         Implement quality assurance programs and processes to monitor and improve performance at the Darlington sites.

  • Coordinates all onboardings and annual physical assessments to maintain compliance with medical surveillance program, hearing conservation, and respiratory protection.

  • Conducts/organizes misc. trainings on quality, environmental, health and safety procedures. (e.g., forklift, confined space, LOTO, HAZWOPER, DOT HazMat, Arc flash) for the Darlington sites.

  • Complete customer and client requests as needed.

 

Who are you as a QESH Manager?

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related Engineering or Science field

*Preferred Associate or Certified Safety Professional or related

  • Minimum of four years of Environmental, Health and Safety or related experience

  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing / warehousing environment

·         Knowledge of RCRA and Air permitting is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to influence at all levels of an organization.

  • Ability to establish, maintain and foster a positive and harmonious working relationship with stakeholders within the business.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively, including preparation and development of clear, concise and accurate reports.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, able to work independently, handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Comfortable working in virtual environments with remote teams and across a broad set of stakeholders

  • Mature judgement and decision-making ability

  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, online software platforms, with the ability to use spreadsheets and data analysis application.
