How does your team look like as an AZ Accountant/Senior Accountant at DESOTEC?
We can reassure you: no cliché 'grey mice' accountants to be found in our dynamic 15-member Finance team, quite the contrary! The high level of seniority within the team proves that Desotec is a great place to work and that the Finance team is a great team to be part of.
As an AZ Accountant/Senior Accountant at DESOTEC, you will have the following tasks and responsibilities:
You work with modern tools and are responsible for the complete accounting process (yes, from A-Z 😉 ) in Navision (➝ Microsoft Dynamics as from April 2024).
You are responsible for the monthly closing of several of our foreign entities and are open to take on additional entities if necessary.
You support the team with the consolidation of your entities and are responsible for intercompany invoicing (cf. different companies of the Desotec group).
You cooperate with local fiscal service providers regarding deadlines around tax, VAT, annual declaration, etc.
You are responsible for verifying and monitoring the annual accounts for 'your' entities.
You have regular contact with colleagues from various departments, as well as customers and suppliers.
Who are you as an AZ Accountant/Senior Accountant?
You have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Economics.
You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience, ideally in an international context. Do you have a lot more experience? Definitely apply as well. Given our strong growth, we also have plenty opportunities and challenges for more experienced profiles!
You ideally live in the region of Rumbeke, Belgium, but just know we're also open for candidates living in another region in Belgium or even abroad who could work remotely, although a visit to our HQ in Belgium would be required from time to time (once a month e.g.).
You have strong administrative skills, like to dot the i's and have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Do you already have experience with Navision and/or Microsoft Dynamics? Even better!
You function both independently and in a team and can easily integrate into an existing team.
You work in a thorough and structured manner, are eager to learn and driven, and you also have a sense of responsibility.
You have good communication skills and can express yourself fluently in English (oral and written). Knowledge of other languages is not required, but is considered a bonus.
You provide ad hoc support for the optimisation of various administrative and financial processes.
You report to the Accounting Manager.
